Samples taken between Owhiro Bay and Miramar Peninsula on Monday showed unsafe bacteria levels, which the council put down to run-off after wet weather.
Greater Wellington environmental scientist Summer Greenfield confirmed that samples taken again today showed the bacteria was back down to safe levels, as expected.
