Farmer injured by tractor

A Wellington farmer suffered serious injuries when he was run over by a tractor this afternoon.

The man was airlifted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to Wellington Hospital, an ambulance spokesman said.

Paramedics were called to the accident at 3.30pm at the farm on Paekakariki Hill Rd, Pauatahanui. The man was being admitted to hospital, and was in a stable condition, a hospital spokesman said.
