Quake rattles lower North Island

An earthquake measuring 4.4 has rattled the lower North Island.

Geonet said it struck about 12:16am, and was centred 55km north-west of Levin, at a depth of about 118km.

It was felt from Wellington to New Plymoth, according to reports on Twitter.
