BREAKING NEWS: A 61-year-old man was pulled dead from a private hot pool in Rotorua this morning.
St John Ambulance spokesman Charlie Bougher said they were called to an address near the lakefront at 6.47am.
The man was found to be dead when paramedics arrived.
''The people who phoned in thought that the person may well have been in the water for a considerable time,'' he said.
Sergeant Tony Bennett, of Rotorua police, said there were no suspicious circumstances and the man's death would be referred to the coroner.
