A for sale sign has appeared outside Dannevirke's first brothel less than a month after it controversially opened for business.
Promiscuous Girlz opened in the Public Trust Building, which a resident described as a "building of integrity" till bought by Teresa McGregor.
Ms McGregor has defended her new establishment against opposition from some residents, but has remained quiet about the sale.
She admitted the building was on the market, but said her plan was to try to lease it back once it had sold. Suggestions the business was about to close were premature, she said.
Dannevirke community board chairman Ray Teahan said he, like most of the community, was pleased about the sale. "The town is too small to support that sort of thing - everyone knows everyone," he said.
