Police have named the woman found dead on Westshore Beach on Tuesday morning.

She was 55-year-old Delphi Rose Koto Redding, known as Dale, from Napier.

Members of a local surf club found the body when they went to the beach for training about 930am.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave de Lange of Hawke's Bay CIB said the autopsy indicated that her death was not suspicious.

It would be referred to the Coroner.
