A 20-year-old man faces a trial in November on a charge of murdering Aaron Hadfield in the Lower Hutt suburb of Stokes Valley in January.
The accused man has name suppression and pleaded not guilty in the High Court at Wellington today.
He was remanded in custody for another pre-trial hearing next month.
