Police want to speak with a number of people who visited the Farmer Crescent home of a 52-year-old man the day he was found dead on the same street.

Michael Mulholland was found with facial wounds in a driveway on the Taita street about 10pm Thursday night, and despite a neighbours efforts to resuscitate him, he died at the scene.

Scientists assisting in the homicide investigation have now finished examining both the man's home and the nearby driveway where he was found.

But police want to speak with anyone who visited Mr Mulholland at his home at 93 Farmer Cres the day of his death. Police believe a number of people visited his house that day.

Detective Inspector Darrin Thompson said while forensic scientists had completed their examinations, police would continue at the scene for another two days.

"The Operation Field team would like to speak with anyone who had contact with him at any time during that day as they may hold key pieces of information about what happened to Michael at about 10pm that evening."

Police were working with Mr Mulholland's family, including his six brothers, three sisters and two children, to get them through the tragic circumstances of his death.

Family were congregating in the area and paying their respects to Mr Mulholland, he said.
