Car hits rail overbridge

Train services have been suspended between Taita and Upper Hutt after a vehicle struck a rail bridge at Pomare.

Kiwirail has advised passengers that Hutt Valley line services are curently suspended while engineers inspect the bridge.

Delays were expected on the line until police give the all-clear for services to resume, Kiwirail spokesperson Sophie Lee said.
