Broken rail delays commuters
BREAKING NEWS REPORTER
Kapiti train commuters were delayed this morning after a broken rail was discovered.
A TranzMetro spokeswoman said the broken rail was between Paraparaumu and Paekakariki on a part of the track that was hard to access.
Southbound trains were delayed by up to 30 minutes while the problems as fixed.
Trains could still get through using the track but needed to go slower.
The track was fixed soon after 10am.
