Kapiti roads are now clear after two crashes earlier in the morning delayed traffic.
Sergeant Peter Theobald, of police communications, said a three-car head-on crash happened on State Highway 1 north of Pukerua Bay, before the wire median barriers, about 7.30am.There were no injuries.
Tow trucks had cleared the scene by 8.30am.
Meanwhile, another crash which had been delaying traffic on the alternative route, the Paekakariki Hill Rd, was now also clear.
Mr Theobald said that crash happened about 7.30am at the Paekakariki end of the road. A car had hit a rock, then the bank.
Traffic should again be flowing as normal.
