Two people were transported to Wellington Hospital's emergency department after a vehicle rolled near MacKays Crossing on State Highway 1 south of Paraparaumu early this afternoon.

An ambulance spokesman said two people, one a 50-year-old man, had been transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The incident happened between 1pm and 2pm this afternoon.
