Kapiti Police have concerns for an elderly woman who has been missing from her Paraparaumu home since this morning.

Elizabeth "Betty" Maxwell aged 80, went missing from her home on Guildford Drive in Paraparaumu on the Kapiti Coast at approximately 10am.

Betty is described as a fair skinned brunette, about five feet tall, of a thin build, with straight shoulder length hair, and blue eyes. 

She was last seen wearing dark blue trousers, a black jacket, and gold-hued open sandals.

The public are urged to call 111 or Kapiti Police on (04) 2125226 with any sightings.
