Jack Davidson's love of trains has helped win him a $100 supermarket voucher.

The Levin five-year-old was one of four winners in the Levin Model Railway Club's recent fundraising raffle.

The club sold all 400 tickets and raised $400.

President John Morrison said the money was needed to pay to transport model layouts to rail expos in Wanganui, Dannevirke and Taupo later this year.

"We don't have a suitable vehicle so we need to hire one and of course pay for fuel. Anything left over goes towards accommodation," he said.

The winner of a second $100 supermarket voucher was Renee Henare. A $100 meat pack was won by Deborah McCartney. And a $100 fuel voucher was won by Kelsey Low.

The winners were presented with their prizes last Friday at the club's display in the Levin Mall.

Jack was unsure what he would spend his winnings on, but indicated he would likely look for toys and chocolate sweets.
