Less than 48 hours after the fatal stabbing of Levin father Michael Valentine more than 1000 friends had flocked to Facebook to remember him.

An "R.I.P Mike Valentine" page was created the day after his death and has been inundated with memories and kind words for the man they called "Maka".

Tributes describe Mr Valentine as "a man with a heart of gold" and "mischievous nature".

Friend Stacey de Vorms said: "Will miss your cheeky laugh, d&ms [deep and meaningful conversations] on the piss talking bout how you felt like you had been given a second chance at life after the accident, and now that second chance has been stolen from you.

So sad that you won't see your boy grow up. You knew you were loved by your mates and hope you're living it up in a better place. RIP mate x".

Kim and Simon Galyer posted: "Words could not express the way we feel about an extra special person. Warm, Gentle & Real. Cnt believe u have been taken from us. We have many awesome memories that go WAY BACK (every day rolling round with tears from laughing.) Goin 2 miss U heapz mah bro. 4Eva in my heart".
