Thanks to councillor Tony Rush of the Horowhenua District Council (Letters, August 30), ratepayers and residents now have an update on the Te Takere staffing structure and the revenue streams associated with the running of the new Levin Community Centre.

Of particular interest to ratepayers is the suggestion that ratepayer funds could be used if a "little more" is required on account of the centre being a "new venture". Once up and running the new centre will be a major asset within the community but the need for a cap on expenditure will be required by the Library Trust as well as the council, particularly if additional ratepayer funds are required to meet day-to-day running costs.
