Driver uninjured after car crash brings down power pole in Hutt Valley

The driver involved in the single-vehicle crash was uninjured.

A driver has walked away uninjured after a single-vehicle crash that brought down a power pole in the Hutt Valley, near Wellington, around 10pm on Friday.

Eastern Hutt Rd was closed between High St, and the entrance to Stokes Valley following the crash, but one lane has since reopened with a stop/go signal in operation.

Contractors are working to repair the damage.
