The Porirua Vikings are inviting anybody interested in rugby league to a Big Day Out family fun day this Sunday.

The rugby league club will be signing up players aged 5 to 17 on the day, as well as offering a free sausage sizzle, a bouncy castle, games for kids and lots of giveaways.

Senior and premier players will be on hand to help out and give youngsters playing tips.

Last year the club attracted 1500 people to its Big Day Out, says Vikings operations manager Joanne Rameka.

"It rocked. It was really, really good. We had heaps of feedback."
