Toilet pans, urinals and a large container of scrap copper were stolen from a Raumati Beach property on Thursday, among a number of burglaries reported around Kapiti.

Between 9am and 3pm last Thursday, about 10 toilet pans and urinals were taken from an Alexander Rd property, said police.

"Someone has cut through a fence at the address, gone into the back yard and taken some very strange items," said Senior Sergeant Alasdair Macmillan.

The porcelain toilet pans and scrap metal were valued about $600.

In Waikanae Beach jewellery, tools and electronic equipment were stolen between Thursday and Friday last week.

Mr Macmillan said a valuation of the property stolen had not been completed, but estimated the amount of gold jewellery, builders tools and an Xbox 360 to be in the thousands.

A red Morison lawnmower was also stolen from a Manhattan Ct home in Paraparaumu on Saturday, and a green Kawasaki KDX 200 off road bike was taken from another address between 8pm and 11pm Saturday.
