Today I saw two sides to democracy - the Kapiti Coast District Council, on advice from their staff, go against the clear wishes of Kapiti community and vote for water meters and against the dam.

The more remarkable action was the National Government reverse their decided education cuts for no other reason than seeing the general public would not accept them. So Kapiti residents continue to speak up, let's raise our voice until the Kapiti council does "give a dam".
