A national drawing award with a prize of $20,000 has been launched by Museum Hotel owner Chris Parkin.
The Parkin Prize, run in association with the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, will promote excellence and innovation in drawing in all its forms. It is open to anyone who lives permanently in New Zealand or has New Zealand citizenship.
The winning submission will be selected by Heather Galbraith, head of the School of Fine Arts at Massey University. Information will be available soon on parkinprize.org.nz.
