It's time for Wellingtonians to stop and smell the roses.

The annual Wellington Rose Festival runs from November 23 to 26 at the Botanic Garden.

The festival will include events such as Fairy Trina telling mystical tales in the rose garden; tips from The Lady Norwood Rose Garden curator about how to grow roses; and competitions offering prizes including a Palmers Rose Growers Handbook and a Picnic cafe voucher.
