Private Alex Cunningham takes a well-deserved break after completing a forced march from Featherston to Kaitoke last Saturday.

The march followed the 17-kilometre railway line over the Rimutakas.

Private Cunningham was in one of the three Wellington-based battalions of the Territorial Force testing their fitness with the walk.
