Wow, what great scenery photos we received!

There are some very dramatic shots of Wellington's and New Zealand's landscape, from the rolling hills of the South Island the peaks of Makara.

James Shaw's photo of Lindis Pass, State Highway 8 in the South Island, captures the sharp changes in light and shows the expansive beauty of that part of the country.

Anna Wilton captured the rolling hills of Belmont Regional Park.  Her photo could almost be an illustration for William Blake's Milton a Poem, which has line 'Walk upon England's mountains green'.

Different shadows and light patterns were also a feature of Peter O'Carroll's photos.

Meanwhile, Patricia Reesby found tranquility in Seton Nossiter Park and Peti Morgan showed how weather patterns can make Wellington's hills and valleys look so different.

We loved all your photos, so keep sending them in.

Don't forget, the readers' photo galleries are being sponsored by Even Cinemas and Photography Woolf.

Each month we will select the best from that month's galleries, and readers will then votes for which of those they like the most.

The winner will receive an Event Cinemas double pass. Each winner will then be eligible to win the Grand Prize - their photo reproduced by Photography by Wolf.

Each week we want you to send in your photos on a set theme. A selection of these will be published on thewellingtonian.co.nz on Fridays.

The best photo or photos from each themed gallery will be selected for a "best of" gallery, which will be posted online on the last Friday of each month.

Readers will then be able to vote for their favourite image. The winner will receive an Events Cinema pass and will go in the draw for the grand prize, their photo reproduced by Photography by Woolf.

Next week, November 30, we will run a selection of the best photos from the month's themes. Readers are able to vote for their favourite photo.
