Wallaceville Rd, a main access to Mangaroa and Whitemans Valley, will be closed for several hours on Sunday, February 3, for the running of an annual classic car hill event.

The Wellington Triumph Sports Car Club will hold the motorsport event for the seventh year in a row with an expected 55 competitors driving a 1.6km course from the Hutt Valley Gun Club near Gorrie Rd in the valley to beyond the hill summit.

The closure will begin at 8.30am and is approved till 4pm although the event generally finishes ahead of this time.

The general public traffic will be able to access the hill road mid-way through the event, organisers say.
