ToS Day 3

Yesterday was a bit of chaos in the peleton.

But Team Olphert McKenzie Craik moved up to 8th position on the teams classification. A good day for us.

I was in one of the lead chase groups, which inlcuded the yellow jersey tour leader Patrick Bevan and three of  my team mates, heading in to Bluff.

I rode strongly up the climb, and I'm now sitting 45th on the general classification.

It was a typical Southland stage with multiple crashes, multiple levels, and lots of
riders getting punctures.

Right from the end of the neutral zone, we entered a long undulating stretch of road
with strong crosswinds and everyone was jostling to be near the front.

But four of us were in the main bunch heading in to the bottom of Bluff Hill, which
was awesome to see.

For me I was happy to get up there and test out the legs.

Tomorrow there are two stages.

The first is 48km and the second is 100km.

In the second stage is the Blackmount climb, which could be decisive so we'll be attentive there.
