I was angered to see that in The Leader, someone referred to the people who, for whatever reason must go to the courthouse as "scum".

No-one should be referred to in this way!

Yes, we are all responsible for our actions and when we do wrong must answer for it, but we are all human beings.

If the Court House is a safety hazard, of course it must be moved. That is just commonsense.

All changes to be made in this matter should surely be tempered with compassion towards our fellow human beings and the desire to improve people's lives, not worsen them.

To Alan Marshall and all who agree with him - try a little compassion, it works wonders.
