About 40 people queued at The Mall last Wednesday to have Sir Graham Henry sign copies of his book Final Word.
It was the same at other malls, his promoter said.
First in line outside PaperPlus was Roseanne Mahiri- Tukukino with her Rimutaka Rugby Club sons Kemara and Tawhi and friend Evin Toheriri from Upper Hutt Rugby Club.
All three dream of one day becoming All Blacks.
Sir Graham was pleased to hear they all played rugby "but are you any good" he asked and signed their drink bottles before autographing two books for Ms Mahiri-Tukukino, one likely to be raffled as a club fundraiser.
He posed for photos between signing books, many destined to be sent to friends and relatives overseas.
