A $50,000 high performance indoor swim/training pool opens in central Upper Hutt this Saturday, February 2, and owner Angelique Gordon-Stables believes it will be the first in the greater Wellington area.

The imported pool produces a current that users swim against.

Ms Gordon-Stables, known as Orange by her clients, has a background in swimming and water safety training.

She opened Splish Splash Swim School in 2008, which runs out of Trentham School.

She has spent two years searching for an extra site to cater for increasing numbers of clients and to offer high- performance training.

The Tri Swim Cell site is at 48 Main St (opposite Royal St).
