Trust House Wairarapa United coach Phil Keinzley has recruited another player for his Central League squad with the signing of Andrew Abba.

The striker-cum-outside midfielder plays for Hawke's Bay in the National League and has been a regular for Napier City Rovers in the Central League.

Abba joins George Barbarouses (Wellington) and Ian Sambrook (Manawatu) as new signings for the 2010 season which kicks off at Easter.

With the immigration status of four key players  Pita Rabo, Sakea Valevou, Waisake Sabatu and Suele Soromon  looking increasingly tenuous, Keinzley is anxious to bolster his player stocks.

He now has a squad of 17 players although mid-field dynamo Nick Roydhouse doesn't return from the United States till June.

Meanwhile, just how Wairarapa United will fare in 2010 should become a little clearer this weekend when they play their first pre-season game, at home against fellow Central League side Wellington United. The majority of the squad is expected to be available for the match.

Trust House Wairarapa United v Wellington United, Saturday 1pm, Hullena Park, Masterton.
