A two-kilometre-long diesel spill delayed traffic on State Highway One between Johnsonville and Churton Park this morning.

Inspector Peter Stokes from police communications said diesel had spilt on the highway over two kilometres north of Johnsonville from a truck.

Traffic heading north of Johnsonville was delayed during the clean-up operation.
