An elderly driver has been injured in a minor car crash in Tawa.

The nose-to-tail crash happened just before 11am today in Main Rd, Police central communications spokesman Sergeant Peter Theobald.

Ambulance were called to assist the injured elderly man.

Traffic was not impeded by the incident.
