Porirua police have released an image of a man who exposed himself to a woman in a park.

Mana community constable Jonathan Westrupp said the man "accosted a female" by flashing her at Whitireia Park last week.

Police believe he is a Porirua man.

Whitireia Park is on the peninsula north of Porirua City.

Anyone who recognises the man in the police identikit picture should contact Porirua police on 238 1400.
