A baby and a big win

The birth of their baby is one of two reasons a Wellington couple will always remember today's date.
The other is they claimed their share of a first division Lotto win.
The couple made a quick stop into the New Zealand Lotteries office this morning on their way to hospital for the delivery of their second child this afternoon.
They had won a $250,000 share of the first division prize at the weekend and were understandably in a bit of a hurry to sort the unexpected paperwork, Lotteries spokeswoman Roz Sheerin said.
''This is certainly going to be a day we'll never forget,'' the husband said.
The couple said that, like other young families, they had a mortgage and debts, and it would be a relief to pay them off.
''With baby number two on the way today we're down to one income again so the money has come at a perfect time for us,'' the husband said.
