A Wellington man who went missing returned home this morning alive and well.

Alexey Volkov, 53, was reported missing from his Mt Cook, central Wellington home by family at 8.20am yesterday.

Police had feared for Mr Volkov's safety but Wellington district police spokesman Nick Bohm said he returned home at 7.30am today, alive and well.

It was not immediately clear where he had been.

How do you feel about the royals' visit after week one?

Loving it, wish they'd stay for another week.

Enjoyment and apathy in equal parts.

Caught snippets - and that was enough for me.

Never cared, never will.
