Police have named the woman whose body was found floating in Wellington Harbour on Saturday night.

She was Renee Anne Hudson, 35. 

Police previously said they did not believe her death was suspicious.

Authorities were alerted by a member of the public who noticed the body in the water near the East by West ferry terminal around 8pm.

The death has been referred to the coroner.
