A ritzy, 52-metre super yacht is moored on Queens Wharf in Wellington.

Staff aboard the 645-tonne Cayman Island-flagged Belle Aimee today said they could not talk to  media but a website for the yacht says it does cruises through the Marlborough Sounds.

The yacht is available for people to book on New Zealand or Fiji ''itineraries'' next month, after which she has a charter programme through the South Pacific, then up to Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Burma, and Indonesia.

It is not clear what she is doing in Wellington, though guests appeared to be aboard today.

She has an outdoor spa pool, dive centre, a wet lab, multiple decks, outdoor theatre, cocktail bar, karaoke, and massages.
