A 55-year-old man has suffered minor injuries after a car rolled in Island Bay this evening.

The man freed himself from the car, which ended up on its roof on the corner of Owhiro Bay Parade and Severn St.

Police communications said the road would be closed for 15-20 minutes until a tow truck can remove the car.
