Adam Hall pulls out of giant slalom

In a strategic move, New Zealand gold medallist Adam Hall has pulled out of tomorrow morning's (NZT) giant slalom at the Winter Paralympics at Vancouver.
Hall, who won the slalom yesterday, wants to concentrate on the Super G on Sunday morning and the super combined the next day.
"It's a tactical decision. The giant slalom is not his strongest event and is physically pretty taxing," New Zealand chef de mission Jon Turnbull said today.
"We want him in good form for the super G and super combined."
Meanwhile, teammate Peter Williams finished 20th in the men's giant slalom (sitting) this morning.
Williams, from Auckland, posted combined time of three minutes, 11.86 seconds over two runs.
The event was won by Germany's Martin Braxenthaler in a time of 2min 37.40sec.
