Boucher signs with Wellington Saints
New Zealand Breakers legend Dillon Boucher has signed with the Wellington Saints for the 2013 NBL season.
The 37 year old Boucher will play his 20th NZ NBL season with the Saints, having previously played for the Auckland Stars, Waikato Pistons, Harbour Heat, and most recently with the Auckland Pirates.
Boucher will also hold an Assistant coach's position for the Saints, with a strong focus on player development.
Crowning two ANBL titles with the NZ Breakers, and one with the Gold Coast Blaze, Boucher brings a wealth of experience to the Saints.
Pero Cameron, Saints coach, is rapt to add a player of Boucher's quality.
"Dillon is a great asset to our team not only for his ability on court, but for the skills he will bring to our development players. I'm looking forward to Dillon and the team coming together to contest another championship."
Boucher has played 325 games in the NBL, winning eight championship titles, and being named in the All Star Five three times.
He was a member of the Tall Blacks team that finished 4th at the world championships in 2002, and was named 2010 Defensive Player of the Year in the ANBL with the NZ Breakers.
The Saints now have four spots left on their roster to fill for next year's NBL, with two import positions still to be filled.
As well as Boucher, the Saints have inked Casey Frank, Corey Webster, Damien Ekenasio, Jordan Mills and Arthur Trousdell to deals.
