Wellington Olympic will meet Cashmere Technical, in Christchurch, for a place in September's Chatham Cup final.

'The Greeks', who came from 2-0 down to beat Dunedin club Caversham 3-2 in yesterday's quarterfinal at Wakefield Park, drew Cashmere Tech in this afternoon's live semifinal draw.

Hamilton's Melville United are at home to three-time winners Waitakere City in the other semifinal. The matches are scheduled to be played on the weekend of August 24 and 25, with the final on September 15.

Olympic, the 2009 champions, would be glad to avoid the two northern clubs, although Cashmere Tech are an extremely strong side. They proved that in the quarterfinals, when they travelled up to the Manawatu and beat Palmerston North Marist.

They also lead the Mainland Premier League.
