Five Wellington athletes have been named in the 16-strong New Zealand secondary schools orienteering team.

Marsden's Hannah Sampson and Lauren Turner were named in the junior team, with Laura Robertson (Chilton Saint James) in the senior girls' squad of four.

Nick Hann (Onslow College) and road race champion Tim Robertson (HIBS) have made the junior boys team.

New Zealand contest the Southern Cross junior challenge against the eight Australian states in Victoria next month.
