There are four new players in the All Blacks squad for the end-of-year tour of Japan and Europe. 

They are the Crusaders and Caterbury trio of Joe Moody, Luke Whitelock and Dominic Bird and Blues and Counties Manukau wing Frank Halai. 

Halai, who was part of the wider training group earlier this season, is picked in an official squad for the first time. 

The squad also features the return of uncapped halfback TJ Perenara, who was forced to withdraw from the Rugby Championship squad with an ankle injury. 

Also included are captain Richie McCaw and wing Cory Jane who missed last night's Bledisloe Cup test due to injuries. 

Openside flanker Matt Todd was the only player unavailable due to injury. 

Wellington and Hurricanes flanker Ardie Savea will accompany the squad as an 'apprentice' player.
