In an attempt to boost support for the Wellington Phoenix, new sponsor Huawei is putting up $10,000 if 10,000 people attend a match against Melbourne Heart.

As soon as the gate ticker hits 10,000 on February 16, the draw goes live and a fan will be picked at random to take home $10,000.

"The atmosphere at home games is already great, but with over 10,000 it will be amazing," Huawei director of public affairs Andrew Bowater said.

"We're hoping this will help to push a few more people off the couch and down to the stadium with us."

The winning seat number will be randomly selected from the scanned tickets and announced at halftime at Westpac Stadium.
