Oh, don't act so shell-shocked - this just couldn't have been on purpose.

Paramount Pictures' marketing division in Australia made a major facepalm moment happen when its official account tweeted out a movie poster for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesshowing the heroes in a half-shell jumping from an exploding skyscraper.

Pretty ordinary stuff, until you see the movie's Australian release date - Sept. 11, ahem - and remember that the film is set in New York City.

After a brief burst of online outrage, @ParamountAU quickly deleted the tweet.

"We are deeply sorry to have used that artwork for the marketing materials promoting the September 11 opening in Australia," Tom Roach, head of publicity at Paramount Pictures Australia told Mashable. "Combining that image and date was a mistake. We intended no offense and have taken immediate action to discontinue its use."
