Rising Kiwi musician Pip Brown, aka Ladyhawke, is up against international superstars Jay-Z and Pete Doherty at next month's NME Awards.
The Kiwi singer, who released her debut album to much critical acclaim last year, has been nominated in the Best Solo Artist category at the NME Awards.
She is up against American rapper Jay-Z, Laura Marling, Lightspeed Champion and Pete Doherty in the category.
The awards will be announced on February 28.
