Renee Zellweger wore a fat suit before receiving the Hasty Pudding Theatricals Woman of the Year Award.
The New in Town actress donned the unflattering outfit as a tribute to her hit film Bridget Jones’ Diary. She was also made to spoof her voiceover animation work to prove to Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Theatricals troupe she was worthy of the accolade.
Accepting the traditional pudding pot prize, Renee said: "This is the nicest doorstop I've ever had. I have always had great faith that no matter the state of the union, that America's future was sound so long as Harvard continued to deliver us her brightest and best.
"And after what I have experienced and witnessed today, I can tell you that I'm going to really have to re-think all that."
The 39-year-old actress rode in the back of a silver convertible Bentley during a parade to celebrate the honour.
She was joined by a number of male members of the troupe, many of who were in sparkly dresses.
Spiderman actor James Franco will receive the Man of the Year award next week.
The tradition dates back to 1795 when 21 Harvard students agreed any new members of their club would have to provide "a pot of hasty pudding" for every meeting.
Previous winners include Charlize Theron, Meryl Streep, Katharine Hepburn, Halle Berry, Clint Eastwood and Tom Cruise.
