Chris Brown has hired the publicist who helped Mel Gibson deal with the fallout from his anti-Semitic controversy, it has been reported.
Brown, who was arrested for allegedly threatening his girlfriend two weeks ago, has hired public relations manager Alan Nierob, MTV.co.uk reported.
Nierob helped Gibson deal with the fallout after he made anti-Semitic remarks in 2006 after being arrested for drunk driving.
Brown, 20, has apologised and said he was seeking counselling after the incident, which reportedly left Rihanna nursing bruises and cuts.
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired," Brown said in a statement.
"I am seeking the counselling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."
