Peih-Gee Law, the last surviving member of her Zhan Hu tribe, has been voted off Survivor: China after failing to persuade her team mates to switch alliances.

Law, a 29-year-old jeweller from California, was eliminated in last night's episode, despite her desperate attempts to persuade Denise Martin and Amanda Kimmel to vote favourite Todd Herzog out.

Just four competitors - Martin, Kimmel, Herzog and Courtney Yates - are left to battle it out in next week's final.

Law told Stuff.co.nz she was voted out because no one wanted to face the jury with her in the final three.

"Right before I got voted out they all tracked me down and said we really respect your gameplay but we don't want to risk going to the final three with you because we're pretty sure you're going to win.

"I had a lot of friends on the jury."

Martin made a bad decision not to side with her, Law claimed.

"Denise really should have tried to align with me and Erik. She played the game safe because she was in a better position than me."

Despite her feisty temper and reputation as being bossy, Law said she was happy with her portrayal on the show.

"There are moments you say things that you wish you hadn't said and you can't really take it back (but) I'm really proud of how I was portrayed on television because this is me.

"I'm a real person, I have good days and bad days, but I was pretty well rounded.

A couple of "timely" immunity wins and taking advantage of the times when her opposing team mates wanted to vote out another competitor helped her to make it as far as she did, Law said.

"It was harder than I expected. I adapted to it really well. I'd backpacked through South East Asia before. So I could deal with the heat, I could deal with having no electricity and running water.

"Just not having the food was the hardest part. The challenges were physically brutal. I'm a pretty tiny person and they're like ‘go wrestle this lunch lady and she outweighs you by 100 pounds and she's a black belt in karate'.

"I'm like 'okay'."

*The final of Survivor: China screens on TV3 on Thursday night next week. Stuff.co.nz will have a full interview with the winner, and one of the losers, on Friday morning.
