Musician Alanis Morissette is winning hearts on a remote Fiji island damaged by Cyclone Daman last month.
The best selling Canadian singer showed up on Rabi Island, where no one knew her name, the Fiji Times reported.
Morissette was on the luxury schooner Tui Tai which runs adventure charter tours out of Savusavu.
Tui Tai co-owner Morika Young told the Fiji Times Morissette was very down to earth and a caring person and she really loved Fiji. Fiji was the best place she had visited, she said.
On Rabi, she applauded the youths who put on a special show for her that told in song and dance how their people came to Fiji.
Morissette hugged every youngster, before handing out toys, clothes and medicine.
She returned the next morning with five new wheelchairs, personally delivering them to handicapped islanders.
She also briefly met with Rabi Island Council members before sailing back into Natewa Bay in Vanua Levu.
